Journal – Weekly Prompts

An Easy Guide to Journaling

I decided to create this guide to journaling after many years of attempting and failing to stick with it.

January 1st would come and I would be bursting with excitement to finally fill the blank pages of my journal with a full year of thoughts. I would fill that first day with thoughts for what the new year would bring. I was doing it, I was journaling! The rest of the day would be spent with my head held high at my accomplishment. I was going to write every single day of that year. January 2nd would roll around…annnnd nothing.

How many of you can relate?

Do you know how many journals are filled with one page from the first of every year? It’s tough to write down detailed thoughts every day, especially when sometimes there are no words floating around up there in that brain of mine.

Insert the 52-week journal guide.

If you’re looking for a journal guide that doesn’t overwhelm, this 52-week prompt will walk you along journaling throughout the year without the stress of committing to every day.

Each prompt can be loosely used as it’s a weekly guide. If you have your own thoughts? That’s great! Write what you’d like. This guide is for those weeks where the words have seemed to freeze in the deep corners of your mind and refuse to be thawed.

Feel free to ask any questions or give suggestions for what you’d like to see in future prompts!

You can do so by leaving a comment at the bottom of the page or sending a quick email to booksfaithlove@yahoo.com.

Enjoy!

Looking for some discussions on reading through the Bible?

Make sure to visit my 2019 Bible Reading Journey for what I learned reading through the Old Testament. For 2020, I’m working my way through the New Testament. As it’s been a while since reading through the whole Bible, I wanted to document what God was revealing to me through each book.
